Default Question installing socket 775 processor

I just installed a core 2 duo processor in a computer I'm building and was just wondering if it is necessary to apply some force to latch the arm after placing the processor in the socket. I made sure the processor was in its place and when I tried to latch the arm it took some pressure to do it. Reluctantly, I latched it anyway. Did I screw up?

No i dont think you did anything wrong, i have built a few dual core 2 systems recently and you do have to place a little bit of pressure when locking the latch, it dosnet sound like you did anything wrong
