    Hi,
Whats the exact model of your motherboard?

Also have you tried disconnected all fdd,hdd etc and just booting with a graphics card, cpu, and ram connected?

    Hi
It seems the 9F error could be caused by many things, from a Power Supply problem, to a CPU problem and even a motherboard problem.

All i can suggest is check the PSU is correcly connected, if possible try another one, or try your CPU in another motherboard (difficult if you dont have access to spare parts)

Apparantly If the board is still under warrnaty (3 years) and you have the receipt, it will only cost you the shipping to them. They will give you another board and pay to send it to you. If you do not have the receipt, then you still pay to ship it to them, and there is a $25.00 charge.

Well I sorted that problem got in to all the bios set up and done all that
But for some reason it can’t find the floppy disk drive or the cd drive so can not do any more because I need the software that I have on floppy and disc to proceed
It’s saying it doesn’t recognize the doss disc that came with the motherboard

    Red face Re: amd9_max

Yes it doesn’t detect them in the bios so it’s stopping me completing the set up
I try to get it to detect it but it can’t

Thats strange that the Fdd & CD dont work, you could trying loading the BIOS defaults and trying again!

Have you tried both IDE connecters for the CD, primary and secondry?

I think this is becuase there isnt an operating system on your pc, are you trying to boot of a fdd or cd? make sure the boot sequence is correctly set in the bios
