Thread: Surround sound

I have been looking at any pictures and reviews of the ASUS P5N-E 650i sli motherboard. most people say it has 5.1 surround sound. But on pictures i only see 3 ports. http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?m...3&l2=11&l3=473 (bottom of page). I was wondering if anyone had one of these boards and could help

You use the Coaxial S/PDIF port for 5.1, which is the yellow connector on the board, its not part of those 3 audio connectors

thnx, i see now. , do all speaker sets come with this sort of cable ?

Im not sure, some speaker systems need optical, but you can get convertors, best check on the speakers you will be using
