Thread: anyone replaced a netbook RAM w 2gb?

Microsoft is preventing Netbook manufacturers from configuring netbooks with XP and 2 gb of memory. When I find a NB that can be configured to 2gb, when you make that selection, you must move up to Vista.
I've heard from some that you CAN add or swap memory, but I want to know that people have actually done this successfully.
If you HAVE, can you pls give me the specifics of your netbook's configuration?

I haven't personally done this, but I've seen videos and read blogs etc of people who have, I don't think they can implement this into Netbooks apart from newer ones coming out, at some point in the near future, though I do think it's unfair of them to do this...
