Thread: Refresh rate

Hi,
I have just added some memory to my comp, I now have 3 sticks installed one 512 Mb and 2 x 256 Mb. all PC2100
When I run my system info prog which is Aida32 it shows the 512 Mb stick has a reduced Refresh rate of (7.8us) self refresh
and the two 256Mb sticks with a normal refresh rate of (15.625us) self refresh.
Can you explain this and is it a problem?

Hi,

All that means is your new 512Mb Ram has a faster refresh (7.8 being quicker then 15.6) then your 256mb chips. Its all quite normal so dont worry about it.

Also out of interest aida32 is no more, its now called everest
