Thread: Cable Box Turns Off

Hi. Does anyone know what could be causing my cable box to be turning off automatically? It happens when the tv is on and even some time when it isn't. My cable company said it might be the box so they replaced it and that did not solve the problem. Then they came back and changed the wiring which is now secure. Still, it turns off. Now the "supervisor" has asked me whether I have anything else hooked up to my tv. I do have a dvd player and they say that is probbly interfering with it. Makes no sense to me because it will turn off when the dvd player is on off. Any ideas? what a pain.. thanks!

I would disconnect your DVD player , unplug all the connectors and power, put it to one side, this will prove once and for all if you dvd player is causing the problem
