DTV4PC for real?

Anyone else get spammed on this like I did? Save your money, it's one of those "too good to be true" scams. Smith Micro & DigitalRiver seem to think this is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but read otherwise here:

Wouldn't pay for internet tv anyway. Use TVU networks occationally, http://pages.tvunetworks.com/ , the Nasa channel is quite good at times.

Listen, I've got my one and only, older, slower, live or die Compaq XP desktop here and I'm in the middle of a newsletter and a book editing, so I'm not about to go messing around where I don't belong - it could be curtains for me at an extremely crucial moment in time. If I had an extra XP sitting around here with a speedy processor and a decent set of RAM I would try it in a heartbeat!

p.s. mm, yes; a complete transplant and resurrection was necessary, including everything you ever wanted to know about iTunes and AOL but were afraid to ask. UGH!
