Default how do you run multiple SATA drives?

I am getting an external hard drive and it has an E-SATA connection on it. What I was wondering was...Do I have to set something in the BIOS to get it up and running? You know so I can boot into it and format it since I have an internal SATA already installed in the computer. Or do I just have to hook it up and it will boot with out messing with the BIOS at all?

Oh yeah, I have an Intel D945GCL mainboard with dual core processor, ddr2 ram(1GB) and an 80GB internal SATA hdd. The external drive I am getting is a Beyond Micro Mobiledisk e-SATA 250GB.

I think you would just need to attach the dirve and it should work, if you motherboard has a onboard e-sata connector then you may need to enable it in the bios
