Default Booting with Puppy Linux: "Analog Out of Range"

I would like to try Puppy Linux, to see how I like it. I have booted with a Puppy system CD, and everything works fine until I get a message that says "analog out of range". This happens before I ever get to the screen that allows you to choose a screen resolution. I then have to turn the computer completely off and restart. My monitor is a LG Model L1932TQ. The book says the resolution and frequency are automatically set when the driver is installed, and I don't know how to lower it, unless I do it from within Windows, which does not help me when I boot with the Puppy disk. Here is the display information: Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller [Display adapter] LGE L1932TQ [Monitor] (19.1"vis, January 2006). Please let me know If there is a fairly simple way to set the monitor's resolution so that Puppy will run.
