Thread: Laptop won't boot up when it does can't use keyboard

I have a Toshiba Tecra M! which refuses to boot up. If I switch on and tap enter button it will boot up but constantly beeps until windows Xp boots up and then the keyboard will not work. Whenever I press a key it beeps even though the volume is muted. I have bought a new battery but the problem has not improved. Any ideas any one please? I am able to access programmes and run them vis mouse but unable to use any keys.

Sometimes you can get constant beeps if one of your keys are pressed down, check none of the keys on your keyboard are stuck
