Thread: Google Earth causes system shut down

In my system I run many softwares. Presently they all run perfectly except one.
Whenever I run Google Earth, it runs for a few minutes well and then it suddenly shuts down my system. This only happens with Google Earth and no other programmes!
I am using an nVidia Graphic Card. Can anyone enlighten as to the cause of this problem?
I have tried uninstalling then reinstalling it but it still persists!

You do not really give us much information .... like are you using XP or Vista. How much Ram have you installed. What is your CPU size etc.

Google earth need a lot of memory to operate properly. Loads of people experience problems getting it to run. In most cases it slow to a crawl but perhaps in your set up it is just shutting the machine down.

I am running it in Win XP Pro Sp 3
1.5 Mb RAM
1.7 Gh Intel CPU.
nVidia 5200 Graphic Card. Sometime I thought it could be the screen resolution but increasing or decreasing it has no effect.

Earlier versions were reliable but problems only started with release GE 4.3.

Problem still persists.

Have you tried updating the Graphic card drivers

Thanks for the help. I have already updated to 175.19 also but not much success.
