    Question MB replacement

    Hello All,

My ATX motherboard has died on me and was wondering if someone could advise me on a good MB. I'm not very savy on what to look for in MB's. I would like one with a 3.0GHz processor at least but are not sure on brand and if it would be compatible with my existing hardware. Here is the information on my old MB if it helps: ECS K7VTA3 v2.x (socketA/3DDR/VIA/5PCI/UDMA100/ATX). Video Card: NVIDIA GEFORCE2 MX400 64MB/AGP

    All my drivers are IDE.

    Thanks in advance,
    -SomeUser

    Hi SomeUser

That MOBO is getting on a bit, it would be better if you replaced it with a newer one you would still be able to use your IDE HDD/HDDs - Optical drives (you may want to invest in a PCI-E MOBO and a new GPU (that choice has to be yours)
