Hi, I'm new here and would appreciate some help.
Having sent my system back to Mesh UK late last year, 08, I was charged well over £250 for a repair that I believed should have been covered by my Gold (3 year) Guarantee. Several months on, I find the same issue has occurred again with the machine.
The PC, when switched-on starts its fan but will not boot any further? The monitor light and sound light are both working but the system refuses to go any further and the fan stays at full power.
I have only loaded a security suite and a game since the PC was returned to me and Windows XP Media Center is nearly virgin in its operation.
I was outraged at Mesh's charge for repair last year after always paying for the on-site warranty due to the fact I am registered blind and suffer from Spina Bifida Occulta. I now find the PC has broken down once more and I find this deplorable. They just reinstalled the operating system and declared nothing else was amiss.
Luckily, I do have a laptop too so I am not cut off from the world altogether but, seeing the PC has let me down once more I must say I find Mesh's level of technical service disgusting.
Not been able to go inside the case myself due to my visual impairment I am hoping someone here can help diagnose this problem so I can either get it repaired locally or take the issue up with Mesh Computers UK.
The PC boots up fine in the morning and I can, if required, leave it on all day without issue. If I turn it off it will not reboot until I switch it on again the net morning although, sometimes like today, it will not boot-up in the morning either.
The blue power light sometimes comes on and sometimes not. The fan starts up ok but does not quiet down if Windows does not start. I hope this makes sense?
I am guessing it could be one of the following but would value your input/advice:
Motherboard
Power Supply
Power Switch
Fan
Thanks very much for all who help.
