Thread: Pc won't boot up

Hello i have a Dell 8400 pc & it won't boot up at all, ive taken all the leads off all inside 1 by 1 & cleaned them but still no joy.

What exactly happens when you press the power button?

Do you hear the fans running?

Do you hear the harddrive start up (Or feel it if the side is off the machine)?

Do you hear any beeps when you start it up ... if so how many (They are a code to what is happening)

Make sure you unplug everything except monitor & Keyboard before starting the computer.

im getting 2 beeps on start up, ive run a H/D Diagnostic this is wot it came back with

Drive 0: WDC1600JD-Pass
Drive 1 No Device
Drive 2 Maxtor 6L300S0-Pass
