    Default wireless network issues

I have recently gone wireless using a MicradigitalWLAN router,

I have a desktop pc running XP Home and a laptop running Vista home premium.

Both are logging onto the internet fine and i can use the laptop to get files etc from the desktop pc but i cant find anything the other way round (e.g i can only find the router not anything else it is connected to) so i cant get any files etc from the laptop.

The setting up network wizard on xp is completely different to the Vista one which just found everything on the network automatically. Do i need to get Vista for the desktop pc?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Vista's default workgroup name is "Workgroup". XP's name is "Mshome". To rename an XP workgroup then right click on My Computer, select properties--computer name--change--and type Workgroup under Workgroup near the bottom of the screen. Click ok twice to save changes.
