Try downloading from here. http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_firefox/ , click on run, then you should have a popup to say close Opera. Close the browser then click continue in the download box.

thanx alot that worked perfectly. one other problem i've come acroos with opera is when viewing a website with drop down menus at the top of the page if there a link uderneath the menus when i go to click on the link i can't because the drop down menu comes down and blocks the link, even though i havent clicked on the menu or put my mouse over the menu, is there anyway to stop this?

Just been to the Golf and Boxing messageboards. This is what I get. http://boards.espn.go.com/boards/mb/...xing&id=boxing ,maybe just affecting a particular page on the site?

No waste of time at all. Glad to help. Did you know that you can set up a mail account in the tools section(the top toolbar). I've set mine so my AOL emails come through to Opera. Also another good tip is click on the "?" in the address bar and tick the "enable fraud protection" box. It also lets you know if the site is verified or not.
