    Default dial up connection

    every-time i log on to my computer my dial up connection box keeps appearing automatically even though i use broadband, is there anyway to stop this from happening. it started doing this ever scince i had to restore my computer to factory settings

    I would check you internet properties in control panel, there in a connections tab in internet properties which should show you all the dial ups, remove the ones you dont need

    i removed the ones i didn't want but i'm still having the same problem any other ideas

    ok, try the following

    After selecting “Never dial a connection”, in the “Internet Options” screen
    Click on the “Connections” tab and select “LAN Settings”
    Make sure there are no check marks next to any of the displayed Options:
    “Automatically detect settings”,
    “Use automatic configuration script”
    “Use a proxy server”.
    Click “OK”.
    Then click “OK” again in the “Internet Options” page.
