    Angry Internet Connection Problem

    I have a cable connection. When plugged into my PC, I have no problem surfing the web. But when I plug the connection into my laptop, it shows that is connected but will not allow me to access the internet. It shows that it is sending a lot of packets, but receiving very few. I can plug the connection back into my PC and it works fine so that leads me to believe it is something to with the settings on my laptop, not the connection. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this?

    Does you laptop have an firewalls enables or security software such as nortons running on it? these could be causing the problem
