Thread: Internet connection problem

Hi
My friend can not connect to the internet, they are with Aol. The modem is connected through a BT line.
They rang the Aol helpline and Aol said that because the modem was plugged into a extension lead this what was causing the internet not to work.

Does anyone know if this is the case or could there be another way round this. It had been working fine for 2 years before this happened.

Have you tried' Repair the AOL Connectivity Service'; Assume on AOL 9 try this and scroll down to no 5; http://info.aol.co.uk/help/dialup/un...nitialise.html .

Is it a Dialup modem or Broadband connection ?
In India we also use the same Chinese UTstar/Huwei modems.
