Please see the thread internet connection problem. here.
Open IE and type 192.168.1.1 Id admin Password admin or password
Go to diagnostics page and test.
If Not available try 192.168.1.1/main.html ( could be 192.168.0.1 also)

In your computer start/ network connections/ LAN properties.
try repair option. If no go again properties .
open TCP/IP page properties and select automatically assign IP/DNS.

Or start run cmd type ipconfig
    what do you get ?
It should be something like this
    ip 192.168.1.x ( from say 3 to 100)
    subnetmask 255.255.255.255.0
    Default gateway 192.168.1.1 0r 192.168.0.1

What is the modem/router you are using ? Is it listed in website i have given in another thread ? Also Any splitter from telephone line to your modem ?

You can use opendns 208.67.220.220 and/or 208.67.222.222 for any ISP.

    1. Kindly confirm your connection is a broadband type . 128 Kbps to 2 Mbps usually or Dialup speed about 56 Kbps
    2. Since it is exclusively for Internet ,is it a cable connection ?
I need , the details of the modem you are using to connect to Internet
The TCP/IP and DNS are needed to connect to the internet servers.
And entered in your computer network pages ( TCP/IP properties). , whether you use dialup/ broadband or cable connection
    Regards
