    Default computer problem adobe reader

When trying to open files a message comes up "adobe reader could not open this file because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged(for example it was sent as an email attatchment and wasnt correctly decoded)

Most of the adobe reader type files the icons have changed to RED any ideas what the problem might be. Have searched adobe, but no joy

    Many thanks Roy

Adobe reader is one of the first programs I delete from my computers.
It is total bloatware and tend to throw up this error message for the slightest thing.

I would suggest you try Foxit for reading these files, a lot smaller and better at the job. it is free so you may as well give it a try:
