Thread: pop ups

i have a problem with pop ups, sometimes when opening a new page on the net a pop up appears (full screen, behind my page) i have run spyware, came back with lots of different viruses and deleted them, can someone help as it cant be very good for my comp and is very annoying, thanks

What kind of pop-ups? Any names?

they're different every time, checked in add or remove, but cant see if there's any strange programs, had problems with zango b4, but think i got rid of that, when running avg 'sell32.dll' comes up, dont know if thats got anything to do with it?

Check in add/remove for Media Gateway and uninstall.
Download superantispyware and update it( free version). Reboot to safe mode and run a full scan.

i've done everything in the last reply, it came up with lots of low and a few medium risk, but i'm still getting pop ups, when i run the super anti spyware now, the most frequent risk is named 'Adware. Tracking Cookie', can someone please help.

It will be difficult to suggest further help as it could be a no lop infection such as CiD or Vundo etc. Suggest you join a malware remover specialist forum such as http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/ , or http://www.malwareremoval.com/ .
