Default how can i get internet? Help pls

    hi,
I have wanted my own computer for ages as i can only use it in the library and at college. and im getting a second hand lap top for my b day this month. Its wirless so i will need wirless internet. I can get the little sticks you put in without a phone line because i dont have a debit/credit card and cant lend one.
I can go with BT because i owe them £200 from this year and theres no way i can payit of, i got disconnected a month or so ago. I was having money problems but am sorted now. I also cant get virgin because the previous person who lived in the house (i private rent) apperantly owes mony to Virgin. I phoned up trying to get it and they said the bill was still from this year and i have only lived in the house a year. Its the first time i heard of it.
Im not very happy because i really want the internet. What can i do? Who can i get it with out a BT line? Halp thanks. xcath x

I would try Virgin media again ... point out to them that they provide a broadband contract to a person NOT to an address and that they cannot hold YOU responsible for another persons debts.

Be FIRM but polite with them.

My son had a similar problem when he bought his flat and the previous tennents had an outstanding bill with Virgin. I got it sorted out within 10 minutes.

Also, Many other ISP's cut off, and have many problems,
But Virgin Media have a very good and stable connection, very reliable too.
