Thread: BIZARRE email addresses coming to ME?

hi folks
in recent weeks i have been getting dozens of dodgy emails re drugs; viagra; penis size; watches, software & all sorts of crap. i spoke to btbroadband about the addresses that they are somehow coming to me with & they said ????? which was NO help. below are just a few i have just received today......

as you can see NONE of them are my email other than having same tail (btinternet.com) , so how come i'm getting them & in abundance??? obviously i just bash them into spam, but how can YOU stop them??

Well, Heres a bit of information, i don't know how to report them or stop them, but here this....

There are websites on the net, which people go onto, like spam email sites, and when an email address is entered into it, it adds youre email to their database and that website will spam you full of software and **** emails....

I have been on one of these websites before, and if someone has entered you're email into it, then that is why you are getting them...
It doesn't have to be someone to enter it neither, it could be that you signed up for a website, but that website may be a scam, or something to trick you into getting spam emails...

Eventually all email address's get this spam, as you don't know who you're signing up for on the net, ive changed my emails many times because of this.
It's probly best to make a new email address, and somehow email or ask you're email provider to transfer any important emails and stuff.

Thats probly what i'd do.
