    Talking Web Links in email

    When I receive an email with a link to a website, clicking on the link will not launch the website, even if my browser is activated.
    Clicking links in a website will launch the appropriate site.
    I use XP+SP2, Firefox/Google and Outlook Express 6
    The problem is the same with IE6 and IE7.
    Can anyone please help?

    Start Internet Explorer 6/7

    Select the Tools->Internet Options menu

    Select the [Programs] tab

    Look for a checkbox labelled "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser" put a tick in the box. IE should now open when you click a link in your email.

    I don`t use Firefox but the method should be something similar.

    Firefox was already my default web browser then I made IE my default browser and links in email now launch the appropriate website.
    Will now try to find out why Mozilla Firefox won't work with OE.
    Thanks very much for you help.
