This site has a tutorial to set up this router:
    http://www.nice-pc.co.uk/club/content/view/46/40/

    Speed test here:
    http://www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk/

Run the test at least 3 times noting upload and download speeds. Take an average of the 3 tests to get average speed (Note these speed tests can give low results depending upon the amount of people using the site or the amount on your isp ... try running the 3 checks again over the next few days, you might be surprised at the difference)

If you wanted wireless internet, and its working fine... then thats it, thats all you need to do..
Normally you should know your internet speed, you can be on either
1mb [Dial up] - Which i don't think you would be on
    2mb
    5mb
    8mb
    ect ect...
You are probably on 2mb or 8mb
    They are most common
2mb fastest speed is around 250 kbps [this means your computer can download 250 kilobytes of data each second.]
8mb is around 1000 kbps...which is a lot faster, and it gets faster higher it goes.
If you wanna look here http://www.numion.com/
there are speed calculators which can convert mb's to anything you want to, its a good website just to mess about, it can also record your internet speed and surf speed [how long it takes a page to load which is full of images]

Its an awsome site even the mods should like it lol, got tons of things on there.
This isn't much help but i hope its useful.
