Default Problem viewing one site only.....

    Hi there,
I am new to this site and here by recommendation.
My internet works fine execpt when viewing one particular site. This site is www.willhill.com.
The pages take forever to download ( 30-60 seconds). Very frustrating when trying to put a quick bet on!
Here are some tech details for you.
    I am running IE6.0
ISP..orange broadband. PC is wired to a router.
    Using XP Home 2002.
I have tried deleting temp files & cookies, system restore, resetting router.
The problem is always there but is worse in the evenings.
All other sites that I access are absolutly fine.
    Any help much appreciated.
    Cheers
    Andy

Switch over to1. FireFox browser. If IE addict change over with Addon IETAB
( will be faster than opening IE direct !) Block advertisements/ flash etc with
addons Flash block and Adblock Plus.
You can disable them , whenever you feel like.
    2.Opera is also recommended.
You could block images , or view images as you like.
    3.Google Chrome.

I am not very technically minded
Sorry, if my post was too technical.
More options involve changing values of MTU DNS etc.
    http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/N...ak/DrTCP.shtml
(a)That is why I suggested to use a different Browser FireFOX.
    http://www.mozilla.org/
This is like IE7 and works faster.
Works same like IE7. You can use IE6 also independently.
(b)If you cannot access this particular web site here also
    please report.
(c)Disable any Antivirus and Firewall program also Windows Firewall
and try for a short period.
(d)You can add this site in Windows firewall "exceptions"

    (e) You can also Update to IE7 and download all updates for your OS and IE7.
Again Sorry. Some technical jargon has to be used to try a solution.

    Update:
    Try this.
Type the address in the address bar of your browser IE or FF( firefox)
    Copy.
    Open www.tinyurl.com
Paste and get tiny url link. ( note this address)
Enter tiny url address again in address bar.
If ok or not , please give feedback +ve or -ve.
Will give some clue to locate the problem.

    Hi there,
I appreciate your efforts in this problem.
I turned my PC on this afternoon and everything was fine, including www.willhill.com.
Then, after about 3 hours the same old problem occured. Very slow responses on this site only!
I tried the tinyurl thing and got a response tinyurl/5417. I tried this and still very slow.
I also tried turning the firewall off but no joy there either.
I just placed a bet on the site and it was accepted straight away and I got the response accros the bar at the bottom of the page. ( sorry, dont know what the bar is called. The one above the task bar!!!!). The page itself, with all the graphics on etc took about 45 seconds to display. I hope this info gives you more to work on.
    Many thanks again.
    Cheers for now.
    Andy
