Default Not able to access only one site

I have just come to Philly PA from India and have brought along my notebook. I need to frequently access one site ( www.motilaloswal.com ) and I did it regularly in India. Without any change in setting the same site is not accessible ( Firefox gives a page load error - connection interrupted, connection to the server was reset while the page was loading and IE6 gives error - Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage ). I am able to access all other sites, including the ones in India ( my bank, utilities etc ). There is no problem at site - I confirmed by talking to my friend in India who checked that the site is accessible. My daughter here has two notebooks and both have same problem. I asked my son in Chicago to check out and he is able to access the site. Our IE settings seem to be identical. Can anyone help? I urgently need to access the site. Would this problem be due to some settings at ISP? My ISP here is Comcast. Please help.

Loaded the site without a problem. However it does open a pop-up window on loading and the html on the site uses a lot of "javascript"

I would check that your browser allows pop-ups and check that javascript is enabled : See this site for info about Javascript.

    Thanks a lot Ferret,
Yes the site does have pop-ups and needs Java enabling. I have both enabled as I need to frequently access this site. My problem is that the home page itself is not accessible as if their server is down or I am giving some invalid address. My IE waits for a response for from www.motilaloswal.com and then times out after about 25 seconds which is the normal wait period for IE, and then throws that error saying site is not accessible with suggestions 1. either no internet connection, 2. server may be temporarily down or that the url address could be miss-spelt.

Have you tried flushing the Browsing History?

In IE it is under the "Tools" menu.

    Another thing to try is:
Click "Start/Run" type in sfc /scannow (Note the space between the "c" and the "/"

This is the System File Checker and it will check the IE files (You might need a Windows CD ) .. If you don`t have a Windows CD ... try borrowing one.

    Hi Ferret,

Yes I flushed IE , I also tried using Firefox but have same problem. I had also mentioned that my daughter here in Philly has two notebooks and both have same problem. I reset the IE so that all the files of IE get fixed, buffers are cleared and setings fall back to default values. But no go. I asked asked my friend in other locality here to check out and he is able to open the site from his laptop. He also used XP with SP2 and IE6. The difference seems to be that his ISP is Verizon and mine is Comcast. Could this be the problem? I mean can my ISP has some settings which does not allow us to access this site? I connected to Internet through my neighoubour's wireless router and still have the same problem, My neighbour also uses Comcast as ISP.

I have some further observations. Recently I visited my cousin who stays at Elkins Park ( in Philadelphia ). I took my notebook along. Using her WI-FI access I could get on to Internet and I could then access the same site without making any changes to my IE settings. And when I came back I had the problem again - not able to access only one site www.motilaloswal.com. My cousin also has Comcast as her ISP. Can anyone help? Is there any setting on my wireless router that needs to be changed? I am absolutely clueless.

Best to contact you ISP and give them this information and tell them you demand a remedy.

Obviously you computer is OK so the problem lies with their equipment or service.
