Hi guys.
I have a Belkin wireless-G for my network. It's setup with WPA-2 PSK AES broadcast and my Vista laptop connects fine. Now I've set up a Rosewill EasyN4 wireless router with WPA-2 Personal passphrase and mixed (TKIP/AES) encryption. What I have done is connected one of the ethernet ports on the Belkin to one of the ethernet ports on the Rosewill (like a pass-thru) to use it to get additional ethernet ports to network some printers and also produce the wireless-N network. I assigned a new IP address to the Rosewill (outside the range of the DHCP on the Belkin) and turned off DHCP on the Rosewill. The ethernet hard-wire connection works fine - the Belkin assigns an IP to the laptop from within it's range and I connect fine. I have set up the wireless-N (basically done everything the same as the Belkin wireless-G) except it's N. So, the signal broadcasts, but when I try to connect, I keep getting this error that says "Network is marked as hidden" and I can't connect. I've even tried connecting with the neighbor's XP laptop, and it doesn't connect, and gives me no error whatsoever. I know it's not hidden - it is broadcasting - I can see the named network on the list of available networks. What am I missing here? could it be a data rate setting? I have "data rate" set at auto, and I tried "N Data Rate" setting at auto and 11; neither make any difference. Any ideas?
Thanks.
