    Default ie7/internet & mouse problem??

hi, i run ie7 to access my email (btyahoo)& internet with xp home. just recently i have had weird problems with the mouse arrow, whilst checking email & web sites, becoming very faint & pulsing. if i close the window & go to e.g. my opening xp view (field image) the mouse arrow is fine. what is going on, as it seems to come & go. i have been through the control panel options for the wireless sony vaio (VGN-A617B laptop) mouse & can't find a solution. hhhheeeelllllppppp
    regards

Are you using a wired USB mouse, a wireless mouse or the touchpad on the laptop? Do you have this same problem when you plug in a different mouse?

thanks for reply - its a wireless mouse & i have stopped the touchpad from working. don't have another plug in mouse to test. if i close down ie7 & start up again the problem goes but even so shouldn't be happening & needs to be sorted.....somehow??

If you enable the touchpad, unplug the wireless mouse and reboot, do you still have the issue? I am just wondering here, if it has something to do with the OS loading the wireless mouse driver (some delay perhaps?), which resolves itself by the time you close and reopen IE7? Or a driver update for the wireless mouse may do the trick?

And if the touchpad is enabled, and you have the wireless mouse plugged in, do you still see the same issue?

Also, did this begin after installing any WUs? (Windows Updates). If so, you could try a system restore to a time before the issue showed up.
