Default Belkin Wireless G Desktop Card problem

I had this Belkin card installed for me at pc world and it works fine but I wanted a bigger hard drive, so I bought one and installed it and put windows xp on. Now it doesn't detect any wireless connection, nothing. I don't have any software for this though, but should it not still detect something ?

The software I have on this hard drive is:

Belkin Wireless G Desktop Card Client Utility
    Belkin Wireless Networking Utility 2.1

Oh and this other hard drive I am replacing with the one i'm using now so I have to keep switching back and forth. I need to get it online soon so i can activate windows on it.

    cheers

The easiest way would be to set up the new harddrive as a slave drive then use software to transfer everything from your old drive to the new one.

I use Driveimage XML (Free) for this and never had any problems.

I would re-format you new drive to ensure it was blank before you start.

    (1) install and boot from you original drive

    (2) download and install the DriveImageXML program

    (3) install the new drive as a slave ( the drive should have come with some instructions on this. It is just a case of moving a small pin in the back of the drive to a new position ... easier using tweezers)

See here:- How to Build Your Own PC - Setting Hard Drive Jumpers

    (4) Use the "Drive to Drive" software that came with the DriveImageXML program (Follow the easy instructions)

    (5) The Drive to Drive program should install a copy of your old drive on to the New drive.

    (6) Remove your old drive ... restore the jumper on your new drive to the master settings and then boot your computer. (On the odd occasion it may ask you for the XP/Vista CD to install some drivers .. you can beg steal or borrow one from somewhere)

    (7) computer should boot from the new harddrive and retain all your software and settings from your older drive.

Note:- This operation is actually a lot easier than it sounds and even if you screw things up, you can still re-format the drive and try again. Just ensure you do not format your old drive before checking the New drive is working properly.

I have cloned several hard drives, using Casper and Acronis True Image. I've never used DriveImage XML-but it's now on my list! Thanks Ferret!

A couple of things I will mention with regards to cloning:

    - SATA drives normally don't use jumpers for Master/Slave, but the older IDE (ribbon cable) drives will

    - If you encounter BSODs after the clone, your solution is here

    5. Click on each one listed and right click and uninstall. (you will get a message on some staying to reboot before it takes effect. Select no until you do them all.)
    6. Reboot.
    7. Wait till windows automatically reinstalls devices. Will prompt to reboot again.
    8 Reboot.
I have found this error on every clone I've done...
