Hi,
Assuming your system is clean the best way would be to have spyware software that offers real-time protection, Ad-Aware offers Adwatch and Microsoft AntiSpyware has realtime protection, these should catch anything before it is installed on your system.
What software are you running for your spyware/virus etc?

Hi, when you say it keeps coming back do you mean that you have tried to remove it and it keeps coming back, or it comes back when your surfing the web?
Is your Adaware the free version or the Full version, the full version comes with Ad-Watch which monitors and should block it and stop it coming back.
Try and download microsoft antispyware it free and will monitor and block hijack attempts

Azesearch
I would clear any trace of it off my computer, and then when i surf the web it reappears.
The version of ADAWARE that you are referring to, is it ADAWARE PRO
Thanks

Sounds about right, Azesearch is a pain to get off it can rebuilt itself when you reboot, which sounds likes the problem you may have.
Yeah the full version comes with the Ad-watch not the free one, so you would have to pay for an upgrade, thats why i suggested the microsoft one as its free.
I will get back to you soon with instructions how to remove Azesearch completly from you system.

ok, i will need you to post a hijackthis log for me to look at, i have included instructions below.
Run Ad-adware, check for updates and scan
Run Spybot , check for updates and scan
1. download hijackthis from here should be version 1.99.1
unzip file
Create a new folder in your C: Drive
Name it C:\HJT or HijackThis and move the HijackThis.exe file in it.
It's best for this tool NOT TO be located in your Desktop or in a TEMP folder.
2. Run hijackthis.exe and when the program has started, click the Scan button. Give the program a few minutes to analyse your system
3. Click the Save Log button and save the logfile to convenient location. The log file should then automatically open in a Notepad window.
4. In the Notepad windows, click the Edit menu and click Select All. Then click the Edit menu again and click Copy.
5. Go back to your chosen forum and start a new thread or reply to a thread you have already started. Click in the reply box and press your browsers Edit menu and then Paste.
I will then have a look at it and try and find the problem and will post you back instructions

hi, i have found a few more methods other users have tried which worked, you may find these easier to try before using the hijackthis program

1- start/run then type regedit
2- highlight my computer then click on edit then click find
3- search for ( azesearch ) and delete any entry corresponding to it
4- after you delete it all , search for this value and then delete too
the value is ( {FFF5092F-7172-4018-827B-FA5868FB0478}
5- then close the registry menu and go to my computer icon , open it and then click on search tab , and earch for azesearch , you will find three files :
azesearch.bmp
azesearch.ocx
azesearch.xml
delete it all and thats it .
if you find you can delete any of those 3 files, then reboot into "safe mode" and try deleting again.

another user said "I did a full system scan with Ad-Aware SE Personal then delete the findings"

Using any of the above methods you do so at your own risk, so it may be worth backing up critical data in the unlikey event you may have to re-install your OS
