    Wink spyware/hard drive update

    Hi,I hope this is in the right category. Recently had major spyware infestation on dell dimension 4600 desktop.Spoke to pc guy who charges £125.00 to reformat and remove spyware and reinstall. As HDD noisy have purchased new and currently re-installing windows xp. My question. Is there a way to reconnect original HDD to remove items that I would like to keep?If so please explain in idiot terms for me.

    Possibly by using a 'caddy' or enclosure to connect to your PC via usb. Something like; http://tinyurl.com/66zvgr .Hopefully your harddrive will still work and is spyware free.
    Just re-read your post, be very careful transferring data if original harddrive is infected by malware.

    Hi everyone,
    Of late I have been irritated by a software program called "AntiSpywareMaster" purported to be approved by Microsoft. Can anyone tell me if this is a legit program as it does not want to go away and keeps bugging me!!!!!
    I have a feeling that IT IS a spyware!

    Anyway while I'm here I suggest downloading and updating both these programs.
    http://www.superantispyware.com/
    http://www.malwarebytes.org/rogueremover.php
    Start in safemode and run both.
    Run again in normal mode.

    In your opinion, is "AntiSpywareMaster" a legit program? Shall I install it?

    Do not install it. It's malware.
