    Exclamation Adware pop-ups and adverts

I deffinatly have a virus, i think its some so of adware, i keep getting pop-ups advertising programs that get rid of it, and they just link me to different useless websites...

On many websites where there should be adverts, i normally get something like "you are the 1,000.000 customer" but not the usual fake aderts, i get things advertising programs, and pop-ups saying "654 virus's found, click here"

and it is very annoying, specially the pop-up ones... !!!!

I have tried downloading things like AVG, i got a free on-demand Mcafee, and Comodo Firewall.....

This is a cool combination of security, but i cant seem to ge rid of it...

Mcafee constantly finds a virus, it says deleted, but it always comes back in about a few hours..... [Mcafee finds a virus / adware called 'Vundo']
Which i researched to be a malware / adware virus !!!!

    Any help is much appreciated
    Thanks
    Mattio

If the Virus keep reappearing it is reinstalling itself.

Boot into Safe mode and then run the virus checker.

Note it may also be present in the System Restore files. Best to shut system restore off then back on again.

But soon as i booted normally, about an hour later, mcafee found a few more, and i have had a few popups..

So now i'm trying you're idea, its scanning now, not found anything yet, hopefully this will work.

    I went here for help.

    SITE:-safer-networking
Click on forums > Malware Removal > Before you Post. Try running the free Kaspersky Online Scanner described in the second message. This will not fix your problem but it will point (a few) of them out. Save the listing.

You could then ask for help, which will take sometime or read a few of the problems other people are having and see if you can solve it yourself.

You will more than likely need HiJackThis also.

Another place to look for help is

If the virus keeps coming back after every reboot, you may have a rootkit. I recommend GMER or RKILL for rootkits. Then install Malwarebyte's Antimalware in safe mode and run it. Or, if you are able, physically remove the drive & slave it to another computer to run the scans - the viruses are usually dormant if the operating system is not running actively. And, don't forget to scan all external devices like stick drives, camera cards and external hard drives. Viruses love to propagate via external devices. The other thing to remember to do is this: once you have the computer clean, you will want to delete all your system restore points, and then set a new one.
