    Default Trojan.Vundo

    It keeps coming back ...Can someone please talk me through manually removing it.Also these: Trojan.Vundo!gen4 and PC Control Center a fake anti-virus program keeps putting it's icon's on my startbar and desktop........Please help.

    I fear the "wee" Smiley at he end of your message may come back to haunt you. This can be a real nasty to get rid of. Try the method at this site first, if you run into any problems (Like can`t run in Safe mode etc. ). Ge back in touch.

    If you still need help after the above, here are step by step instructions. I have followed these and had success.

    First thing though, turn system restore OFF. Then proceed with your cleaning method.

    If you find it is a rootkick, GMER will get rid of that.

    I use this program specifically for this kind of thing, it's called VundoFix, and it's excellent. Doesn't need to be installed either (iirc)

    go here:

    VundoFix

    download and run, you should be good to go.

    Let us know how you get on
