    Default Laptop Specs for Editing

    just wanted to ask, what specs of laptop is best for video editing?

    1. hdd - would it be better if i buy external hdd w/ 7200rpm?
    2. video card - would it affect the quality of videos if the vc is
    shared?
    3. RAM - would it matter if it is pc2100 or pc2700 or even higher
    4. processor - Pentium M or athlon mobile or G4? and minimum speed?

    hope you can advise me something, before i buy a laptop... thank you

    Hi,

    I would say minimal specs for editing laptop
    HDD min 200GB
    Ram pc3200 1Ghz
    P4 3.6Ghz

    Depends on what software your planning on using, if you look at avid for example they recommend laptops for you to use
