    Question EZMaker & JVC AX60

I have just got hold of the Avermedia EZmaker USB 2.0 with Ulead Movie Factory 5software. I can successfully view and hear the video on the PC but the picture is in black & white. The playback mode on the camcorder (JVC AX60) is b&w, the only way I can play back the video in colour is through the adaptor video cassette. Is there anyway I can capture the video in colour off the camcorder or is the video cassette the only way forward.

    Many thanks.

Unhappy Re: EZMaker & JVC AX60

Just to add..... I did a test of sense and took a more recent piece of equipment, my Fuji Finepix 6900 digital camera to check colour, even that comes out in black and white.

Alos I have now found that when I reply captured video off the AX60 I get no sound. The saga continues.....

Also make certain that you have selected PAL/NTSC and correct video source on the capture application.

Wink Re: EZMaker & JVC AX60

I have made some steps forward. Thanks for the link to Avermedia. I can hear and see in colour now.
Now have problems recording anything at all. Get error message '"Cannot start the capture graph. Capture failed. The created file is corrupt and unusable. It will be automatically deleted. [13011:1:2]'

Finally got a reply from Avermedia support and suggestion is to update driver - so I will keep you posted.

Red face Re: EZMaker & JVC AX60

Looked into updating sound and vga drivers as recommended. Only one update was available for Realtek HD Audio sound card. Windows XP already on SP2 as recommended.
Still same error - I have sent dxdiag.txt for their inspection.

That does sound like a software problem, it may be worth checking for update for the ulead package your using also

Cool Re: EZMaker & JVC AX60

I reinstalled everything on a new system however I still had to play about with the settings to get the colour working. I found I could capture video with color & sound ok, but in play back mode there was no sound. This got me messing around with the Audio options which eventually led me to diagnosing the problem I was getting.

When I went back to the PC with the original installation of Avermedia & MovieFactory and started playing with the 'Audio Source' options I found that the setting I had 'Realtek HD digital input’ did not allow the capture to run properly, giving me the 'cannot start the capture graph' error message.
There were 3 other options for audio source 2 of which worked. I have now selected ‘Back Line in/Mic, Front line in’.

To get sound on play back I had to do the following: ‘Capture Properties/Property Type’ select ‘Audio Capture Filter’. Make sure that ‘Pin Line Input Mix: Enable' box is ticked. Not too sure why that is unticked by default.

Hope this helps some other people.
