Hi

I have the Philips SAA713X hybrid capture device and I'm using it to capture analogue from my VCR onto my PC. I have a straight-forward analogue cable from my VCR into the capture device but needless to say the quality is poor. My first problem is I can't find out what the other sockets on the capture device are. One I'm pretty certain is for a remote control, one is obviously for the analogue cable. One looks like it is for a S Video cable but it doesn't fit.
I was hoping there was a way to enhance the signal by using a combo of composite video and S Video.
Does anyone know what the sockets are for or how I can enhance the quality of the signal?
