Hi all.
I need some help with my cell phone videos please. I recorded my first-ever video on a KRZR K1m using a Micro-SD card today. I pulled the card out of the phone and copied to my XP SP2 computer through a card reader. The file is a *.3g2 (3GPP2). I tried to play it using RealPlayer, which is supposed to support this format, but I keep getting an error message:
can not start playback. More information is available at the RealNetworks Customer Support Website. When I go to the website, it says I should download the most current version. Well, I have that. So I tried installing all the optional plug-ins listed, and still no luck. Then I reinstalled the program (at the suggestion of someone in their userforums), still no luck. I checked in the "autoupdate" section of RealPlayer at the list of installed plug-ins and codecs, and I can see "
3GPP-AMR Plugin 10.0.1.64"...but nothing for 3GPP2. So, I went to the
http://www.3gp.com/ web site and confirmed that RealPlayer is compatible with this format, and it did indeed confirm this for me. So, I am at a loss of how to get the movie to play on the computer!
Any ideas anyone? Thanks!
UPDATE: Quicktime plays them.
