Angry Pinnacle Studio Plus Ver 10

Hi, Just had the worst few days of my life!!!!!
Decided to purchase the above (cant mention its name again) then the nightmare started.
Checked all drivers, defraged disk, setup second disk to place projects on. Started making projects etc etc.
It then crashed several times when making the DVD, then wouldn't load again. De-installed, now after several attempts at getting it back on, which included reg cleanup, bug fix software and another defrag, the only reponse I get is that there is not enough disk space on my disk to install and that I should modify the download. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm a novice user (both PC & Pinnacle) and have lost the will to live.
Any help will be gratfully received. Thanks.

    Dave.

    Hi Tech master,
    Thanks for the prompt response,
    The system comprises of
    AMD 64 2Ghz
    512 RAM
    Disk 1 is 114Gb with 68Gb free
    Disk 2 is 15Gb with 10Gb free
    Graphics card is a ATI All-in-wonder 9800
And capture is via a Sony Hi8 analoge camera connected to a Dazzle 80 USB.
I'm running Windows XP home with SP2 installed.
I've also been using registry mechanic to keep it all clean, and before any capture is attempted I run "end it all" which closes all non essential programmes and background tasks.

I also attempted tonight to try and install Pinnacle again and went for the custom install (I know not recommended, but nothing ventured, nothing gained) and it loaded up OK, I then went for a reninstall with the modify option. It seem to load up OK, I havent tried any capture, editing etc, far too late!!! So I'm more than likley to be sitting in front of the PC tomorrow instaead of watching the rugby.
I went trolling around some forums and get the feeling that Panical is not well liked out there, is it as bad as I'm lead to believe?
    Hear from you soon,
    Best regards,
    Dave.

Well it seems like Ver 10 is causing quite a stir, many users are reporting crashes so its not just you. Your PC spec seems fine, so from what im reading my hunch it the software in its current state isnt very stable.

Im assume you have installed the 10.1.2 patch and the USB hardware install, both available to download on pinnacles site, it seems they are also working on another patch which is in BETA stage at the moment, so watch out for that.

I would report your fault to pinnacle and in the mean time, if DVD burning still dosent work for you, you may be able to export your files and use another program to burn you DVDs.

If you have anymore questions please get back to me.

    thanks
