Well I use an extensive variety of Video Editors, but I mostly use Pinnacle Studio, is the only video editing software that I truly like. Is full of features and its interface is clean and easy to use. I would recommend it to anyone that would like to start in this video editing area.
I use Pinnacle Studio plus as well as Adobe premeire elements. Studio is ok but when dealing with complex prodjects it is horrible. When I had a video with around 100+ clips it crashed every time I did something.
Heh, i still use Movie Maker, its extremely easy, ( anyone can use it) and it works with almost everything. although, there are a large number of features its lacking. but if you are just making a family vacation video, it has more than enough features.
I havent used movie maker, i tend to stick with premiere, but i guess its cos we have it at work , so not having to buy it helps . I have heard a few bad things about pinnacle studio crashing alot , quite a few users complaining the last i heard
well movie maker comes with XP Pro, so you can check it out if you want, its great for just trimming a video, but there are only limited transitions, and no cropping availible, but syncing audio etc, is really fast and easy. i looked @ premeir before, and it looked very difficult.
Premiere is aimed at the high end market, a lot of professional editors use it so it probably a bit overkill for editing home videos
yeah, exactly, and i only have a dv cam, so thers no need for that kinda quality
Premiere has eveloved a little, but still can't be called high end. In fact it is perfect for editing DV material (don't put your self down) I use vegas video a lot, I started using it because it was one of the first pieces of editing software to run on a laptop, and I grew to like its ease of use. I used AVID for a while but find it fussy and non intuitive, as surprisingly I did final cut pro. If I ever get a mac I'll work at that one though because its good for getting work with. There is so much choice now.
Im finding Premiere or AVID Xpress Pro HD are becoming the most popular at the moment (well thats what most people seem to be are asking for) and the fact that premiere seems to come bundled with most video editing solutions seems to force the issue.
i must admit i didnt like avid at first but now im starting to get used to it pretty good, the only problem seems to be the endless patches/updates which seem to fix one bug and create a new one..![]()
I gather Premiere Pro 2 is due out soon, so i wonder if there will be major advances with that, i suspect not!!
