    Default Administrator Priveledges

Please please help me I'm at my wits end. I have been refused access to install several programmes on my own computer because apparently I have no administrator priveledges. This hasn't bothered me too much over the last year but I have now spent a substancial amount of money on Language Courses that have to be installed and I have tried just about everything but to no avail. How can I change my user profile so that I can install these Discs?
Have been through all the trouble shooting advice, Control Panel, Properties etc. HELP!!!

    Default Re: Administrator Priveledges

    Hi,

So are you logging onto your machine at the moment as a user (your own username and password) or are you just using the default administrator logon.

For example if you log onto your machine with the username administrator and password , leave that blank, does this log you in ?

You may have to log onto your machine as the administrator first, then check that your own username you used before has administrator privileges, if not give your username administrator privileges then try again.

If you could let me know how you normally log onto your system, any users set up etc that would help me.

    thanks

WoooooooooooooWWWWWWWWW, what can I say???? I can't thank you enough, I was logging in using my user name and password. After reading your reply I logged off my user name, logged on as administrator and left the password blank. Can't believe it was that easy after I've spent all day today trying !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks again am now looking forward to starting my Language Course, will definately use and advertise your site again, although I hope I won't need to but am well impressed.

Thats great news, im glad that helped you out!

Remember once logged in as the Administrator, you can edit your user profile you were using before and give it administrator rights, once you do that you should then be able to log on as before but be able to install software normally. Up to you of course.

P.S The more people you can advertise us too and get more members to sign up then better, so please do..
