    Default Faulty Hard Drive?

    H

Well this has certainly been one of those really bad days... I wanted to try to add an external hard drive (usb) to my tecra 8100 laptop. This was discussed in a prior thread... My laptop is (was) running on windows 2000. Anyways it was a hand me down computer from my old employer who now is out of business.

Well I tried two attempts with 2 different hard drives that didnt work. Couldnt find the proper usb drivers.

Now the worst has happened. I get the dreaded blue screen on power up and it says:

*** STOP: 0x0000007B (lots of other addresses here) INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE

It then tells me to check for viruses on my computer, remove any newly installed hard drives, make sure my hard drive is properly configured or terminated...

Well, you'll need at least the Windows 2000 CD to attempt a system repair...
