    Default unable to install Antivirus

I have a Windows 2000 workstation and i am having trouble installing the symantec antivirus corporate edition 9.0. I tried to install as a client locally but every time the install is almost finished, the status bar would roll back and uninstall everything again. I tried remote download from the server and it would install onto the workstation for a minute and then disappear again. I tried to do those online system scans and it gave me an error saying activex not enabled even though my security setting is set to low. Anybody know the problem? thanks

Are you trying to install it from a mapped drive or from a network share?

Is this a problem with a single workstation or on all workstations. You may have issues with the OS on the workstation that the install doesn't like.

It's just this one workstation that's having problems. If it is the OS, should i reformat and reinstall the OS?

If you have to go to that much extreme, then yes. But I would see what is causing the problems. Check the event logs to see if anything stands out.

well, reformatting is my last option. I rather fix the problem without having to reformat.
