Thread: Will WLOC work with Vista?

Hi - I'll be taking delivery soon - next week I hope - of a new Gateway FX530XV with Vista Ultimate. Will Windows Live OneCare v.1.5 work with that? I know that Defender is built into Vista, but Defender doesn't like WLOC, at least on this old system with XPsp2, as well as the other way around. Neither would load if the other was there. Thing is, I've got WLOC paid through September and would hate not to be able to use it any more. It looks like the v.1.5 of WLOC will do what Defender did but with AV in addition? Will the Vista version of Defender substitute fully for Windows Live OneCare? I haven't been able to find out from either Microsoft or Gateway. I can understand that Gateway might not have run into this yet but to get the answer from Microsoft is virtually impossible. Thanks
