Thread: laptop fault or vista?

I recently bought a Advent 7113 laptop which came with vista premium pre installed.

Every so often while using it the screen goes blank for 1/2 a second then then comes on as normal. There is no pattern to it happening it could be 5 minutes after it has been switched on or it could be 2 hours before it does it, and like wise it repeats it at no set time.

It also happens on both battery and mains.

I presumed this to be a hardware fault so returned it to currys and was given a new one only for this new one to do exactly the same.

Do you think i should return this one as well or is it possibly a software problem? It has nothing installed on it apart from what came pre-installed.

I would take advantage of the fact its still under warranty and take it back, show them the problem.. I can think of anything off the top of my head, random problems like that are really hard pin point.
