Thread: vista hp problems

i dont know if anyone else has these problems but they are lethal for smooth running of pc and i dont know why it happening

windows explorer keeps stopping and forcing a reboot for anything to work correctly.
IE7 keeps unresponding after a while forcing a reboot.

also on my desktop i have some program icons like xfire with a security centre logo attached to them, what does that mean?

Xfire is some kind of free instant messaging service, normally used by gamers, I would check the usual first like spyware/virus problems, or try a system restore to a known working date

yeah xfire is for gaming but just wondered why the sercurity centre icon is attached to several desktop items,

xfire and 2 multiplayer gaming programs, bf2142 and coduo.

why would security centre be attached? something not right?
