    Default Registry "Fixers"

I have a copy of Error Smart which I bought - which ran and fixed 2 errors about half an hour ago.

I have a freebie called RegCure which I installed recently.

    Its telling me I have

    2 Active X errors
    291 File Path References
    65 Shortcut errors
    573 empty reg keys

Q: OK, so which is right? I know you cannot answer this without seeing my registry but why does one say brilliant registry and another says its crap?

Personally speaking , red devil, both your reg cleaning programs are..err..lacking. Reg Cure is a no-no.
Error Smart??? Googled but found none of the usual sites to recommend it.
Ccleaner has a good enough reg cleaner for Vista.
Tried Winaso, was goodish but that's all.
Try; http://www.creative-wedding-photogra...gScrubVistaXP/ , you'll also find your favourite tweeks there as well.
Don't know if this program removed flash player (ie) or not but easily reinstalled.
Been using it for only two weeks and seems a cracker.
It will also defrag the registry.
Let me know your thoughts if you try it.

Found this and its "recommended" by Microsoft

After another check for scrub vista I noted that the copy on The authors Site must be an older version, no good for win32. So I went into Australian Site #2 but got a load of sql errors. So went to australian first site and downloaded a version that does work!!

I installed and ran it to find I had 899 errors (not discovered by the program recommended by microsoft, Windows care. So, here we have various programs tried, and all give a different reading!!! I like the tweaks in ScrubVista, finally got rid of those annoying internet shortcut arrows.
