Thread: Start up error

Hi can anyone please help me... When I start my laptop I get an error that says...

error loading c:\users\laura\appdata\local\temp\gebuvlcd.dll

I have tried searching for this problem bu can't fnd anything. Other problems I find -google does not work, when i type on a web page (like typing this post) my typing will keep freezing so half of whati type isn't coming up. I also keep getting random IE windows opening with random websites like boreme.com or it will just say page cannot be displayed.

I have scanned my laptop using Norton and nothing is coming up. I tried to do a system restore but that fails due to an error.

Please help, it's getting so annoying!

Try these programs, download and update then run. It could be malware.

http://www.superantispyware.com/

Use Ccleaner afterwards. http://www.ccleaner.com/
Remember to read the help files with Ccleaner in case you don't want to delete history or similar.

Glad they worked and thanks for the feed back. As for system restore not working then I'd now disable it, reboot, and re-enable it. This will give you a fresh restore point for the laptop.
