    Default Spotmau 2010

Bloody software. Follow on from my MS Word thread.

I have had a tech from Spotmau visit my pc three times. The first time because of an error I had already fixed myself and he said he wanted to check out the software so ok I said. He disabled my autorun, a feature I frequently use, and before I could stop him. Since then another two visits and the Tech now says he cannot fix what he screwed up and would ' go away' and come back when he had a solution. My autorun says its on by the way.

Since then, 2 weeks of tickets and ticket replies and nothing has been done, so I said to them I have uninstalled Spotmau 2010 and want a refund.

Bog standard reply - we are committted to customer service and satifaction, please contact our online tech (who is hardly ever online by the way) and he will resolve the issue.

I replied that this was no longer the case, as you screwed it up, and you cannot fix it.

    Bog standard etc etc

I answered again, Give me my bloody money back NOW!

Bog standard - yes you have guessed it.

So I thought, right I will contact the Tech and tell him I want a refund.

Guess what - offline! And, another email demanding a refund.

I believe so, but as they screwed up my pc, they did it gratis. They ofdfered to extend my money back guarantee from 1 to 6 months, I told them that it didnt matter if it was free for life, it does not fix the bloody problem.

Spotmau Powersuite 2010 as recommended by Ferret. Thats how I got to know about it.

I got into tweaking Vista HP and there was a section called sevice management. It screwed up setting and left me with Win 98 desktop and no net. I managed to sort that out and complained to spotmau. They offered me a tech to remote access pc and sort it out, I said I had fixed it but the section should either be deleted or carry a health warning.

I should have relaised they didnt have a clue but they offered remote and I accepted. They came down and looked at my pc and tweaked a few settings to ensure a speedier boot up!!

They disabled my autorun on the dvd drive as one of these things and I wanted that so I said to put it back - er ................. ok we will send a tech!

He came, he saw, he said I cannot fix it, I will come back when I have an aswer. That was 2 weeks ago. Since them everytime I chase the pratts up they ask the same stupid questions over and over again, I told them to read the bloody ticket (number supplied). To cut a long story short, they still have not re enabled the autorun feature and I told them to give me a refund - back to post one ......

Everything I have checked tells me autorun is enabled. I took their software out totally but to no avail, its still disabled.
